Morning awakens<br>And we can smell the flames<br>Impervious to the fact<br>That freedom was being attacked<br>No use to run from the ashes<br>We bleed the stripes of red<br>Thru our gashes<br>Cross the sea<br>See the island on fire?<br>Thats where we stand<br>See the eyes in denial?<br>This is where they ran<br>Crossing bridges supported of smoke<br>Words dry out as we choke<br>This red runs in our veins<br>This blue hides in our tears<br>This white is the light of our pride<br>Where were you when the sky was ablaze?<br>And when one nation was fraudently phased<br>To whom it may concern<br>You can`t take down our power<br>And that truth<br>Is taller than those 2 towers<br><br>(In Memory of 9-11)
